Hand painted and dyed silk original designs by silk artist Katherine Edge. Specialising in the serti technique of silk painting Katherine paints her designs and then makes them into sustainable, wearable art. She is inspired by her surroundings; her garden, looking out to the Staffordshire Moorlands, the arts, music, wildlife and the industry of the Potteries nearby.

Katherine will be demonstrating the techniques she uses in her day to day work as a silk artist specialising in the serti technique of silk painting, gutta outliner and specialist silk paints. She will be happy to try and answer any questions you may have chat about her work and inspiration.
