My work is heavily inspired by folklore mythology and nature. My work is quite illustrative, the starting
point for many pieces is words, whether that be Poetry, Folk Song or Folk tales. Printmaking is the
perfect medium for me as I get heavily attached to my creations, being able to keep the finished
block but letting the prints free into the world has enabled me to feel comfortable sharing my art.
Describe what you will be demonstrating at the event
I hope to be able to demonstrate the full process, including drawing, cutting/carving blocks and
printing, using a small press and wooden spoon.
