Julie’s specialism is in illustration and surface pattern design, with a particular emphasis on design for interior decoration.
Her work is inspired by a life-long connection to nature. Taking visual inspiration from our natural world she creates mixed media illustrations which she digitally transforms and combines to form bold, expressive pattern designs. Her designs reflect the brilliance and vitality of nature and her passion for vibrant colour and decorative effects.

Julie will illustrate her approach to developing a surface pattern design. With particular emphasis on the digital aspects of this process and how she uses Photoshop to transform and arrange her illustrations into a bespoke design.
