Sculpta Ceramics 2025

Nathan makes Earthenware and Stoneware. He is inspired by the heritage and the natural landscape of the local area, ie. the Potteries and the Peak District. Nathan’s slip cast Earthenware is decorated and inspired by with the Potteries skyline from yesteryear, celebrating the Industrial heritage of the area. Nathan has worked as a Sanitaryware Modeller in the Ceramic Industry for the last 37 years, and still provides a development service today to local Potters and manufacturers who need to slip cast an item. Nathan’s stoneware is made on the Potters’ wheel. He mostly makes functional tableware decorated with reactive glazes, but also indulges in a little free hand decoration depicting the Peak District, nearby towns, natural habitat and the countryside.

Nathan will be demonstrating under glaze painting .
