Vicky is an artist based in Stoke-on-Trent who rediscovered her creative practice after taking time out
during her children’s preschool years. Since returning to art, she has embraced the freedom to
experiment, working across a variety of styles and techniques. For Vicky, art is a joyful and expressive
practice—one that invites curiosity and playful exploration.
She offers bespoke commissions, creating colourful, whimsical, and heartfelt portraits of loved ones.
Using acrylic paints and acrylic inks, Vicky produces distinctive, characterful pieces full of warmth and
personality.
Vicky enjoys exploring diverse themes and methods in her practice but has a recently been
developing a variety of cat themed pictures to explore one topic but with different techniques.
For her demonstration, Vicky will share the early stages of a portrait, showcasing her process using
acrylic paint and acrylic ink.
Describe what you will be demonstrating at the event
I will display my acrylic inks and paints and explain how I use layers of both to develop my paintings. I
will have at least one work in progress portrait with me to paint on the day.
